And the winners are…

The winners of the Urban Development Institute of Australia (SA) Awards for Excellence were announced at the sold-out Gala Dinner.

Both private and public sector developments were recognised for being the best in the state, and the night was also a celebration and recognition of individuals and companies for their contributions to excellence in urban development.

The groundbreaking EI8HT by Chasecrown on the South Esplanade at Glenelg won the coveted President’s Award for demonstrating the highest standards in urban development. The judges said that the Chasecrown project was an exemplar for the high-end market. The attention to detail from the outset of the project, through to the quality of finish, was nothing short of excellent.

Kathryn Walker from Piper Alderman won the Women in Leadership Award, presented by SA Water, for her significant contribution to the development industry in South Australia.

Guy Martin from Commercial & General took out the Stuart Main Scholarship sponsored by Holmes Dyer. The Scholarship is awarded to an exceptional young professional to support future leadership in urban development.

Winners of thirteen award categories will be recommended for judging at the National UDIA Awards for Excellence early next year.
