Friday 31st July the UDIA held a major luncheon at Adelaide Oval with special guests, the Deputy Premier, the Hon Vickie Chapman MP, the new Minister for Planning, and Chair of the SA Planning Commission, Mr Michael Lennon.

Last Friday 31st July the UDIA held a major luncheon at Adelaide Oval with special guests, the Deputy Premier, the Hon Vickie Chapman MP, the new Minister for Planning, and Chair of the SA Planning Commission, Mr Michael Lennon.

The Deputy Premier discussed how the Government will continue to support the Urban Development Industry and Michael Lennon provided an update and an overview on how the planning reforms are tracking.

UDIA was pleased that once again we were able to host a face to face function since March 2020 due to Covid-19 restrictions.

With a sold out room, observing Covid-19 guidelines, we received positive feedback from members who enjoyed catching up and engaging with colleagues and the wider development industry, whilst receiving keynote addresses from our special guests.

It was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge in person and present the trophies to the UDIA National Winners, Southern Cross Care (SA & NT), who won the Seniors Living Award for Carmelite and Helen Dyer, who won the Women in Leadership Award. Congratulations to the deserving winners.

We were pleased to raise money for Childhood Cancer at the event through a raffle and the purchase of merchandise which we thank our members for contributing to this fantastic cause. Thank you to our event Sponsors, Hickinbotham, Future Urban and Fyfe.
